Indianapolis Colts Playoff Tickets

Over the years, there have been many Baltimore and/or Indianapolis Colts playoff tickets sold to the faithful fans of the two cities that this franchise has called home. Without a doubt, this is largely due to the tremendous amount of success that this franchise has enjoyed throughout its 40-plus years of existence. They won back to back NFL titles in 1958 and 1959, and after losing two NFL championships and a Super Bowl in 1960s, they returned to the promise land in 1970 by beating the Dallas Cowboys in Super Bowl V. Through the end of the 2004 season, the Colts had made the playoffs in five of the last six seasons, reaching the AFC Championship as recently as 2003. They have yet to return to the Super Bowl, but with Peyton Manning, Marvin Harrison and the rest of Indianapolis's star-studded offense, fans are hopeful that this will change in the near future.

Indianapolis Colts Playoff Tickets in 2005?

Is it too early to suggest that fans may need to start thinking about buying Indianapolis Colts playoff tickets this season? Hardly. The team has never missed the postseason under head coach Tony Dungy, who has posted a 34-14 record in three seasons on the Colts sideline. In 2004, Manning, Harrison and the rest of the aforementioned offense were ranked first in the NFL in both passing offense and scoring offense. They were also the league's second-highest rated unit in terms of total offense, and now they should have an improved defense to match. Defensive end Dwight Freeney, who has 40 sacks in his first three seasons with the team, will be joined by free agent acquisition Corey Simon at defensive tackle and first-round draft choice Marlin Jackson, a cornerback out of Michigan. For these reasons, the Colts are being considered a legitimate Super Bowl contender again this season.
